About Symptom Snap

Living with symptoms you can't quite explain? SymptomSnap turns scattered "I think it was worse last Tuesday" into a clear record you can actually show a doctor.

ONE-TAP LOGGING

Five fixed tiles on the home screen — Fever, Cough, Headache, Fatigue, Nausea — log the common ones in a single tap. For everything else, rate severity on a 1-10 slider, tag what may have triggered it (food, stress, weather, poor sleep, medication, exercise, alcohol, caffeine), pin the body location, note any medication and dose, and add a free-text note.

CALENDAR HEATMAP

Your month at a glance, colour-coded by how rough each day was — green for mild, amber for moderate, red for severe. Tap any day to read back everything you logged.

PATTERNS YOU'D NEVER SPOT BY MEMORY

The Insights tab ranks your most frequent symptoms, charts average severity over time, and shows which triggers keep turning up alongside which symptoms. It also surfaces which weekdays and times of day are hardest for you, and flags "flare days" where your total severity jumped well above your own average.

PATTERNS I'VE NOTICED

SymptomSnap also spots which symptoms tend to show up together within a window you choose — same-day, 3-day or 7-day — and ranks them by how often they overlap. These are patterns from your own entries, not a medical diagnosis.

SLEEP AND ACTIVITY, SIDE BY SIDE

Connect Apple Health and SymptomSnap will read your sleep hours and step count — nothing else — and plot them against your daily severity, so you can see whether short nights or quiet days line up with worse symptoms. It never writes anything back to Apple Health.

DOCTOR-READY PDF REPORTS

Generate a one-page summary built for a ten-minute appointment: symptom frequency table, 30-day severity trend, your top triggers, medication log and sleep correlation. Weekly, monthly, or any date range you pick. Share it by email, AirDrop, Messages or Files before your next visit.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT

No account. No sign-up. No cloud sync. Your symptom entries stay in the app on your device and are never uploaded to us or synced to a server. The free tier shows ads: if you allow tracking when iOS asks, an advertising identifier is used to measure them, and you can change that at any time in iOS Settings. Premium removes ads.
