How to Join Jottr Beta on iOS
About Jottr
The thought that mattered arrived while you were walking. By the time a notes app opened, it was gone. Jottr is one box, always open, always ready.
Say it or type it. It's down in seconds. Then get on with your day.
ONE RUNNING STREAM
Every thought lands in order — a record of what was actually on your mind, as you thought it. Nothing to name. Nothing to set up. You scroll back through your thinking the way you scroll back through photos.
And nothing you type is lost. Jottr writes every keystroke to disk as you go, so a thought survives even if the app dies mid-sentence.
SAY IT OR TYPE IT
Write when you want to think something through. Talk when you just need to get it out. Jottr records your voice and turns it into text — on your device by default, so even the thought you only had time to mumble is searchable later.
WHEN A THOUGHT CONTINUES
Reply to any thought and the two become a thread. This one continues that one. Follow-ups, the way thinking actually goes.
ONE OLD THOUGHT A DAY
Each day Jottr puts one older thought back at the top of your timeline. And when there's one from this day a year ago, that's the one. Reply, and you pick it back up.
Anything you'd rather never see again, you can retire from the loop for good.
TAGS THAT NEVER INTERRUPT
Type # anywhere and the word becomes a tag. Tap it to pull up everything under it. Jottr suggests tags on your device — nothing is ever added without your tap.
Structure when you want it. Never a decision when you don't.
SEE YOUR THOUGHTS CONNECT
Thought Map draws the tags and words that keep coming back across your journal as a constellation. Tap a theme to read every thought behind it. Slide through months and years and watch it take shape. It is all grouped on your device, and nothing is written into your journal.
SEARCH FINDS EVERYTHING
One box. Every thought, every reply, every tag, every word you spoke out loud.
PRIVATE, AND YOURS TO TAKE
Your journal syncs through your own iCloud. No account, no sign-in, nothing on our servers — and Jottr tells you plainly when a thought isn't backed up yet. Lock the app behind Face ID. Export every thought and thread as plain Markdown whenever you want it somewhere else.
No ads. No analytics. No tracking. Nothing sold.
Open it, jot, done.
