About ImUp

ImUp is for the twenty minutes you're actually free.

Not a feed. Not a group chat nobody answers. You mark yourself up for an hour — or fifteen minutes, or four hours — and the friends on your shelf can see it while it lasts. When it runs out, you disappear again.

WHO'S AROUND

Your people sit on one screen as shapes you learn to recognise before you read the name. Anyone who's free is lit, with the time they have left. Tap them, tickle them, or punch them — it reaches their phone.

KNOCK ON SOMEONE

When someone isn't around, knock. Write a line, draw them something on the pad, and it arrives on their lock screen as a Live Activity that draws itself, for as long as you set — two minutes, or fifteen. They can answer or let it go. If they let it go, you're never told, because a visible "no" is worse than silence.

START SOMETHING

Put a plan on the shelf — terrace at nine, bring something — and invite whoever you want. People join and you watch it fill up.

DECIDE TOGETHER

Make a group, ask it a question, and everyone throws in an answer. Agree with as many as you like. The one most people agree with wins, and the group gets told.

MAKE A FACE

Pick a character, sculpt your own blob by dragging its edges, choose a colour. That silhouette is how you appear to everyone, everywhere in the app.

ADDED BY CODE, NOT BY CONTACTS

Friends are added by a six-character code you hand out yourself. ImUp never reads your address book, never asks for your location, and has no way to find people near you. There's nobody to discover and no one to follow.

NO ACCOUNT TO MAKE

No email, no password, no phone number. Opening the app creates an anonymous account on the device, and you can erase it — and everything attached to it — from your profile at any time.
