About Stories from the Other Side
The odd hour is the one that belongs to no one. Too late to be today, too early to be tomorrow. That's when the Other Side opens.
The Odd Hour is a slow, quiet game for people who love stories. You cross over to the Other Side, into the Jungle of Untold Stories, where a nocturnal aye-aye called Sleepless keeps the paths and waits for company. It's a world you actually play in, you wander it, you find things, and there are gentle games woven all the way through. There is no preassure. Nothing expires. The Jungle keeps growing through you writing and reading.
Sleepless weaves dreams and shows them to you. Down at the Moonlight Diner you'll meet restless dreamers, their stories come to you slowly, a chapter at a time, the way stories do. At the Observatory you gather fragments: odd, true, briefly wonderful things about the world. The Good Stuff Tree keeps keeps knowledge about the small miracles of life and the concepts that shape them.
The weaving is where it turns into yours. You bring what you've gathered, a fragment, a good thing, a few words of your own, and shape them to become a dream you can step inside. Keep it, or send it out to a dreamer who needs one. A few honest sentences from you can make somebody's night a better one.
And there's room for the rest of what you write. Notes, stray thoughts, the small good things from your day, letters to yourself kept in a Cave you can return to. Some of it becomes a dream later. Some of it never has to be for anyone but you.
