Builds run 90 days. Each update renews the term and keeps your data.
Leave anytime. Reinstall InkReader from the App Store to return to the public release.

About InkReader

Your journals are full of words you can't search. InkReader turns them into text.

Point your camera at a page. InkReader finds the edges, straightens the shot, and reads the handwriting — including the messy cursive that other scanners give up on. What you get back is clean, editable text, saved alongside the original page.

TRY IT FREE

Your first 10 pages are free. No account, no credit card, no sign-up form. Scan a page and see the transcription for yourself before you decide anything.

BUILT FOR REAL HANDWRITING

Most scanning apps were built for printed documents and fall apart on a handwritten page. InkReader uses AI transcription tuned for handwriting, so faded ink, slanted lines, and cursive still come through.

SCAN A WHOLE JOURNAL, NOT ONE PAGE

Capture page after page in one sitting — an entire journal without stopping. Open the book flat and photograph the whole spread; InkReader reads both pages. Then read it back as one continuous journal, organized by the date of each entry, not by how you scanned it.

FIND ANY MEMORY IN SECONDS

Search inside a journal and jump between matches, or scrub through years by month with a flick. Find the trip, the name, the argument, the recipe — without turning a single page.

YOUR WORDS, YOUR DEVICE

Journals are stored on your phone. There's no account and no copy on our servers. A page is sent securely to be transcribed and then discarded — never stored, never used to train AI.

KEEP A COPY ANYWHERE

Export any journal — or just the entries you choose — as a PDF or text file, straight to Files, iCloud Drive, email, or anywhere the share sheet reaches.

INKREADER PREMIUM

Unlimited transcription for $4.99/month or $29.99/year. Everything else stays exactly as it is.

Subscriptions are billed through your App Store account and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel any time in Settings.

Questions

How do I join the InkReader TestFlight beta on iPadOS?

First, download Apple's official TestFlight app from the App Store on your iPad. Then return to this page and select "Get Early Access" above. Your device will automatically open TestFlight and prompt you to accept the developer's beta invitation. Tap "Accept" and then "Install" to start testing InkReader. If it says "This beta is full", tap "Get Slot Alerts" to be told when a slot opens.

Is testing InkReader on TestFlight safe and free?

Joining is free, and TestFlight is Apple's official beta testing service. Apple reviews beta builds before they can be shared through a public link, and beta apps run in the same sandbox as App Store apps, so they can't access your data without your permission. Betas can still have bugs. The beta is made by Chengdu Jidao Cultural Media Co., Ltd.

Do in-app purchases or subscriptions cost real money during TestFlight beta testing?

No. In TestFlight, Apple connects all transactions to its free Sandbox environment. Any in-app purchase, pro feature tier, or subscription inside InkReader will display "[Environment: Sandbox]" and costs $0.00. Your Apple Account or credit card will never be billed for purchases made within a TestFlight beta build.

Does the InkReader beta support iPad?

Only if Chengdu Jidao Cultural Media Co., Ltd ships an iPad build. TestFlight shows the supported devices and the minimum iPadOS version for each build, and it won't offer the install if your iPad isn't supported.

What should I do if the InkReader TestFlight beta says "This beta is full"?

A TestFlight beta can have up to 10,000 external testers, and developers can set a lower limit. Spots open up again when testers leave the beta or when Chengdu Jidao Cultural Media Co., Ltd removes inactive testers, which often happens around a new build. Select "Notify Me" on this page for an email the moment a seat opens (CodeWing Plus) or follow our free Telegram channel. You can also find similar betas in the Utilities category.

Will installing the beta replace my current App Store version of InkReader, and will I lose my data?

Installing the TestFlight beta will replace the App Store version on your iPad, but all your local app data, documents, logins, and configurations are safely preserved. If you ever want to switch back to the stable public release, you can simply redownload InkReader directly from the App Store at any time without losing your data.

How long does a TestFlight beta build last before it expires?

Each TestFlight build has a maximum lifespan of 90 days from the day the developer uploaded it to Apple. You can see the countdown days directly beneath InkReader's title in your TestFlight app. Developers regularly release new builds with improvements, which automatically resets the 90-day timer so your testing is uninterrupted.

How do I send feedback or report bugs for InkReader?

You can send feedback directly to Chengdu Jidao Cultural Media Co., Ltd by taking a screenshot while using InkReader and tapping "Share Beta Feedback", or by opening TestFlight, tapping InkReader, and selecting "Send Beta Feedback". You can include notes, screenshots, and system logs to help the developer fix issues before the official App Store launch.
