Getting Started with the Pagekin Beta

On watchOS

Install TestFlight. Apple's official beta app, free on the App Store.
Request access. Select Get Early Access above, then confirm Open when prompted.
Accept the invitation. TestFlight presents Pagekin with its latest build notes.
Install. Future builds from 晓青高 arrive on their own.

Good to know

Limited seats. Public betas hold up to 10,000 testers. When one is full, Notify Me tells you when a seat frees up.
Nothing is charged. In-app purchases run in Apple's sandbox. Your account is never billed.
Builds run 90 days. Each update renews the term and keeps your data.
Leave anytime. Reinstall Pagekin from the App Store to return to the public release.

About Pagekin

Pager app mimics the functionality of a conventional pager (beeper) with the added advantages of:

Delivery confirmation
End-to-end security using SSL
Choice of ring-tones
Repeat Alerts
Messages are delivered to up to 5 devices registered to the same account

Users can choose their own 7-digit pager number on a first-come first-served basis or a random number can be assigned.

Messages can be sent:

Directly from a phone using built-in Touch-tone Service (numeric messages only)
Using the website https://pagerapp.com.
By e-mail to YourPagerNo@pagerapp.com, e.g. 777-7777@pagerapp.com

Using an iPhone or iPod Touch: Pager messages can be sent using an iPhone or iPod Touch via pagerapp.com

Two types of service are available:

1. Standard Service: This provides paging via email and web as described above. First month is free for this service. After the first month, non-recurring subscriptions are available for One-month, Three-months and One year. Users can extend the subscription if they like.

2. Touch-Tone Service: Touch-tone service provides you with a dedicated phone number for your Pager app that people can use to send you a numeric page using any standard touch-tone phone. In addition, text paging via email and web is included.

Touch-Tone Service is an automatically recurring subscription that auto-renews monthly.
Monthly charge is US $19.99
Duration of subscription is One Month. You get one month of touch-tone numeric paging service with a dedicated phone number
Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period
Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period
Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase
No free trial period is offered for Touch-Tone Service.

How do I join the Pagekin TestFlight beta on watchOS?

First, download Apple's official TestFlight app from the App Store on your Apple Watch. Then return to this page and select "Get Early Access" above. Your device will automatically open TestFlight and prompt you to accept the developer's beta invitation. Tap "Accept" and then "Install" to start testing Pagekin. If it says "This beta is full", tap "Get Slot Alerts" to be told when a slot opens.

Is testing Pagekin on TestFlight safe and free?

Joining is free, and TestFlight is Apple's official beta testing service. Apple reviews beta builds before they can be shared through a public link, and beta apps run in the same sandbox as App Store apps, so they can't access your data without your permission. Betas can still have bugs. The beta is made by 晓青高.

Do in-app purchases or subscriptions cost real money during TestFlight beta testing?

No. In TestFlight, Apple connects all transactions to its free Sandbox environment. Any in-app purchase, pro feature tier, or subscription inside Pagekin will display "[Environment: Sandbox]" and costs $0.00. Your Apple Account or credit card will never be billed for purchases made within a TestFlight beta build.

Does the Pagekin beta work on Apple Watch?

If the build includes a watchOS app, you install it from the TestFlight app on your paired iPhone. TestFlight shows the minimum watchOS version for each build.

What should I do if the Pagekin TestFlight beta says "This beta is full"?

A TestFlight beta can have up to 10,000 external testers, and developers can set a lower limit. Spots open up again when testers leave the beta or when 晓青高 removes inactive testers, which often happens around a new build. Will installing the beta replace my current App Store version of Pagekin, and will I lose my data?

Installing the TestFlight beta will replace the App Store version on your Apple Watch, but all your local app data, documents, logins, and configurations are safely preserved. If you ever want to switch back to the stable public release, you can simply redownload Pagekin directly from the App Store at any time without losing your data.

How long does a TestFlight beta build last before it expires?

Each TestFlight build has a maximum lifespan of 90 days from the day the developer uploaded it to Apple. You can see the countdown days directly beneath Pagekin's title in your TestFlight app. Developers regularly release new builds with improvements, which automatically resets the 90-day timer so your testing is uninterrupted.

How do I send feedback or report bugs for Pagekin?

You can send feedback directly to 晓青高 by taking a screenshot while using Pagekin and tapping "Share Beta Feedback", or by opening TestFlight, tapping Pagekin, and selecting "Send Beta Feedback". You can include notes, screenshots, and system logs to help the developer fix issues before the official App Store launch.
