Getting Started with the Pax: Catholic Wisdom for Today Beta
About Pax: Catholic Wisdom for Today
How is your soul today?
Pax answers with the words of Scripture, the saints and the Church. Choose how you feel (anxious, afraid, tired, grateful, lonely, overwhelmed) and find quotes from the Church Fathers, the saints, the popes, the Catechism and trusted Catholic voices, gathered for exactly that moment.
EVERY QUOTE VERIFIED
No invented or misattributed quotes. Each one is checked word for word against the book, document or recording it comes from, or the earliest record of it, and its source is one tap away.
A DAILY TRIAD FOR THE CHURCH YEAR
Each day brings one Scripture verse, one saint and one teaching of the Church on a single theme, following the seasons and feasts of the liturgical year, from Advent through Ordinary Time.
A PRIVATE JOURNAL
Open any quote, read a short reflection, and write your own response. Your entries are kept by date and by topic. Your journal never leaves your iPhone, is never read by the reflection feature, and can be locked with Face ID.
ON YOUR HOME SCREEN
Widgets for your Home Screen and Lock Screen ask "How is your soul today?" and bring the Daily Triad and its Scripture verse to you each morning. Save a quote with one tap right from the widget.
FOR ANXIOUS AND CROWDED MINDS
When your thoughts won't settle, Pax meets you there: quotes for anxiety, overthinking, scrupulosity and the inner critic, from saints who knew these struggles.
PRAY THE ROSARY
Tap the little cross below the Daily Triad and pray the Rosary bead by bead, with today's mysteries, a Scripture verse for each, and every prayer written out. From 3 to 4 in the afternoon, the same beads pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Pax keeps your place until midnight.
THE STATIONS AND TWO NOVENAS, FREE
Pray the Stations of the Cross with St. Alphonsus Liguori, and the Divine Mercy and Pentecost novenas, a day at a time.
DISCERNMENT, FREE
Wondering where God is calling you? Verified words on hearing His call, the priesthood, religious life, marriage and the fear of saying yes, with a topic for parents too. Priests tell how they knew, from our podcast Before the Collar.
ON YOUR APPLE WATCH
Pray the Rosary without a screen: turn the Digital Crown to move one bead and feel a gentle tap on each. Today’s Daily Triad and a watch-face complication are there too, and it works even when your iPhone isn’t with you.
REFLECT AND SHARE
Save your favorites and share any quote as a chalkboard card.
